Each year the Tour de France gets underway in the month of July. The race is made up of 21 stages covering a distance of 3,500 kilometers. There are 10 flat stages, 7 mountain stages, 1 medium mountain stage, 2 individual time trials and 1 team time trial.

The Ronde van Vlaanderen or Tour of Flanders as it is also know is held in Flanders, Belgium each spring and really begins the cycling betting season in early April. It is held a week before Paris-Roubaix. The race is part of the UCI ProTour and is the most important race in Belgium.

The Liège-Bastogne-Liège, also known as the La Doyenne is one of the five Classic style races on the cycling betting schedule and runs in late April. It is held in the Ardennes of Belgium and goes from Liege to Bastogne and back. The race was part of the UCI Road World Cup.
