NFC East 2011 Preview

2011 NFC East Season Preview, Predictions Picks & Odds

Welcome to the best and most complete 2011 NFC East season preview available online. The teams making up the 2011 NFC East are the Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants, Philadelphia Eagles, and Washington Redskins.

The Philadelphia Eagles are the new favorite to win the NFC East, having won the division in 2010 with a 10-6 record.

But they will face stiff competition with the Dallas Cowboys (6-10) and New York Giants (10-6) still vying for total domination of the division.

Meanwhile, the Washington Redskins will try to be relevant this year, but will have a hard time.

With all this said, read on to see if the Eagles are what everyone is saying they are, or if the Giants can reignite the flame from the 2007 season, and if the Cowboys’ talented roster will finally live up to its payroll.

Now that the 2011-2011 season is approaching, here are our season NFC East team previews & predictions from the top NFL handicappers.

2011 Dallas Cowboys Preview

The Cowboys were perhaps the biggest disappointment in 2010, but after starting the season 1-7 during the first half of the 2010 campaign, Wade Phillips was fired and Jason Garrett was promoted. The team ended the year winning five of their last eight games, and did it in dominating fashion. But 2011 is a new season, and it will be one of the biggest stories of the year of whether Garrett can get them to play at the same level he had them at toward the end of last year.

2011 New York Giants Preview

The New York Giants will step on to the field in 2011 looking almost exactly like they did in 2010. The only difference will be the subtraction of wide receiver Steve Smith and tight end Kevin Boss. A lot of people in the Giants’ camp will be ready for Eli Manning to step up and lead his team again like his 2007 postseason run; but can he? If not the team could be in for a long ride as newly acquired back up David Carr did not impress his first time in a G-Man uniform.

2011 Philadelphia Eagles Preview

Touted by many as this year’s “Dream Team”, the Eagles go into the 2011 season as the team to beat in the NFC East. Their offseason acquisitions included the likes of defensive end Jason Babin and top-of-the-class free agent cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha. Their defense is monumentally better from a year ago, and the offense will come back as strong as ever with Michael Vick at the reins. Vick was perhaps the biggest surprise after coming into the picture in Philadelphia to scorch the league on his way to 2010 Comeback Player of the Year honors.

2011 Washington Redskins Preview

The Washington Redskins will be a completely different team in the 2011 season, having traded away quarterback Donovan McNabb after trading for him the year before. The team looks like they are ready to roll with Rex Grossman, and it will be interesting to see if he can lead the team out of their recent funk.
