#14 USC Trojans at Hawaii Warriors – 11:00 PM ET on ESPN

The USC Trojans will play their first game of the Lane Kiffin Era against the Hawaii Warriors, a team that they have historically dominated scoring over 60 points in their last two meetings. Meanwhile, the Warriors return 12 starters and a pass game that was third nationally and 14th in total offense in 2009. I really don’t see USC losing this one, and if they come out fast, hard and motivated, this one could get lopsided in a hurry.

Odds: USC: -21 – Hawaii: +21 – Over/Under: 54

Arizona at Toledo – 8:00 PM ET on ESPN

The Rockets welcome back 12 starters from a 5-7 team, and scored the second most points in the MAC a year ago. The defense however was their downfall, allowing almost 38 points per game and giving up a MAC-worst 241 passing yards per game. Arizona should not take this game lightly, though it’s hard to imagine the Rockets defense will be able to keep up with Nick Foles and company. Up next: The Citadel.

UCLA at Kansas Sate – 8:00 PM ET on ABC

The Bruins, who finished the 2009 season with an overall record of 7-1, shut downed the ‘Cats 23-9 at the Rose Bowl last September, as UCLA’s offensive and defensive lines dominated the Wildcats, recording a season-high six sacks and allowing none. The Wildcats welcome back 12 starters from a 6-6 team. The big question mark will be if quarterback Kevin Prince –currently suffering an oblique injury– will be healthy enough to start, while the inexperienced offensive line is tested to the max. Up next: Stanford.

Prediction: Kansas State – Bet Now

Odds: UCLA: +1.5 – Kansas State: -1.5 – Over/Under: 45

New Mexico at #11 Oregon – 8:00 PM

The Lobos return 11 starters from a squad that went 1-11 in last season. New Mexico’s week defense should give new Ducks quarterback Darron Thomas plenty of opportunities to gain some early experience. Running back LaMichael James is suspended for this one, but still look for the Ducks to start their bid for the Rose Bowl with an early season win in this one. Up next: At Tennessee.

Odds: New Mexico : +34 – Oregon: -34 – Over/Under: 55

UC Davis at California – 8:00 PM ET

Cal gets an easy one for their home opener against FCS foe UC Davis in this contest The Golden Bears are not expected to have a great season this year, but quarterback Kevin Riley is likely to complete more than 60 percent or better of his passes against the Aggies on Saturday. Up next: Colorado.

Sacramento State at Stanford – 8:00 PM ET

The Cardinal look like a contender for the PAC 10 crown and Heisman hopeful Andrew Luck gets an opportunity to add some big numbers to his stats columns against weaker FCS foe, Sacramento State. It will also be a good chance for the new look 3-4 defense and remodeled running game to get some quality non-conference work before a visit to UCLA nest weekend. Up next: At UCLA

Washington State at Oklahoma State – 8:00 PM ET

The Cowboys, who welcome back just eight starters from a 9-4 team, beat the Cougars 39-13 the last time these two teams tangled back in 2008. Despite the fact that Oklahoma State is rebuilding, that shouldn’t stop them from dismantling the Cougars’ defense. At first I pondered the thought that this could be the PAC-10 upset of the week—but then I thought again. Up next: Montana State.

Prediction: Oklahoma State – Bet Now

Odds: Washington State: +15.5 – Oklahoma State: -15.5 – Over/Under: 49.5

Washington at Brigham Young – 8:00 PM ET

Another PAC-10 Heisman hopeful will have to pick up win number one on the road, as Jake Locker and the Huskies travel to Provo to take on a tough BYU team who welcomes back 12 starters from an 11-2 team a year ago. The Huskies will look to avenge a 28-27 loss from 2008 at Washington after Locker was flagged for tossing the ball into the air after scoring what appeared to a tying touchdown, pending the PAT. UW missed the extra-point attempt and the chance to pick up the win. Up next: Syracuse.

Odds: Washington: +2 – BYU: -2 – Over/Under: 56.5

#24 Oregon State at #6 TCU – 8:00 PM ET on ESPN

The Horned Frogs welcomes back 16 starters from a 12-1 team last season and will be a arduous test for the Beavers and new sophomore starting QB Ryan Katz. There should be lot of lone star support for TCU, as fans from within 100 miles of the stadium will want to see their Horn Frogs play. But you can count on the Rodgers brothers — Texas natives– James and Jacquizz to do their best to keep the hometown celebrations to a minimum. But 6th ranked TCU will not be an easy team to run or pass on and boast a pretty good offense of their own led by QB Andy Dalton. This should be a good match up and will prove whether Oregon State should be considered a serious contender this season for winning the PAC 10. Up next: Bye.

Portland State at Arizona State – 8:00 PM ET

The week wraps up with the Sun Devils looking to make a statement with their new-look offense against the first of two FCS opponents to start the season. All-American Vontaze Burfict should have a field day against Portland State and so should newly appointed ASU QB Steven Threet. Up next: Northern Arizona.

Some teams will have the season wrapped up while others will still be fighting for a postseason bid or will have totally been eliminated all together. Here I take a look at Week 17 giving you some early insight that will help make your NFL wagers winners.

SUN, JAN 2 TIME (ET)

Carolina at Atlanta 1:00 PM FOX –If Atlanta RB Michael Turner is healthy at this stage of the season, the Flacons are likely to “run” away with this one. Depending on how well Carolina’s Matt Moore or Jimmy Clausen have exceeded expectations, and if the Panthers are contending for the division, they could make a late charge in this NFC match up.

Pittsburgh at Cleveland 1:00 PM CBS – Well this rivalry has seen better days. This one will likely be significant to the Steelers, as they will be locked in a tight battle for second with Cincy or may be challenging Baltimore for the division. Cleveland will be tough to beat at the Dawg Pound, but beatable.

Minnesota at Detroit 1:00 PM FOX – Minnesota could be resting their starters by this point, but may still need to secure home field advantage for the postseason. For the Lions, it is likely to be a game that illustrates the improvement the club will have made over the season.

Chicago at Green Bay 1:00 PM FOX – For the Bears it may be all hey can muster just to finish ahead of Detroit in the division, but for the Packers a win at Lambeau to finish the regular season could have home field implications for the playoffs as well as ending the year on a high note.

Tennessee at Indianapolis 1:00 PM CBS – Could this be the game where the Titans knock the Colts out of playoff contention? I guess it depends on where Tennessee and the Texans are at this point in the season. If Indy rests their starters, it will likely lose, but then it won’t matter.

Oakland at Kansas City 1:00 PM CBS – Arrowhead is always a tough place to play and the January chill can make it even worse. With San Diego most likely leading the division, this game could actually hold a three-way consequence for second place in the AFC West.

Miami at New England 1:00 PM CBS – With the Jets most likely out in front of the AFC East, the Pats and Fins could both be playing for survival in this late season match up. New England has the distinct advantage here, as Miami must travel north to play in Foxboro in January. However, the Fins did knock off the Patriots 22-21 at Gillette Stadium last December as the Wildcat dismantled the Pat’s defense.

NY Giants at Washington 1:00 PM FOX –An AFC East match up that may or may not be important to close out the regular season. The Cowboys, barring any later season meltdowns should be leading the division, but second place and a wild card could still be up for grabs.

Cincinnati at Baltimore 1:00 PM CBS –Probably one of he better games wrapping up the last week of regular season action, as it could easily be a three-horse race between Cincy, Pittsburgh and Baltimore for the division crown. The Ravens defense will get a chance to show how good they are, shutting down the triple threat of TO, Chad Johnson and Cedric Benson.

Jacksonville at Houston 1:00 PM CBS –It’s likely Jacksonville will be out of contention by this juncture, but the Texans may need this one to clinch their spot for postseason action. Either way this is a game Houston cannot afford to lose at home, and won’t.

Tampa Bay at New Orleans 1:00 PM FOX –If the Saints pull an Indianapolis Colts from 2009, the Bucs could snatch an upset to end their miserable season. New Orleans lost the reversal of this match up last year 20-17 in overtime at the Big Sombrero.

Buffalo at NY Jets 1:00 PM CBS –It’s not likely the Bills will even be able to play spoiler in this one as the Jets should have clinched the division by now. So even though New York will probably be resting their starters in this final game of the regular season, a win by the Buffalo will be meaningless. Unless you’re a Bills fan.

Dallas at Philadelphia 1:00 PM FOX – The Cowboys should already have a first place finish sewn up, but that won’t change the fact that they will have to venture east to the freezing cold and hostile environment of Lincoln Financial Field. The Eagles are likely to be playing to win, so Kolb and Co. will not easily roll over.

Arizona at San Francisco 4:15 PM FOX – This could be for nothing more than NFC bragging rights as both the Cards and Niner’s are likely to be a solid one and two in the division. Monster Park will be rocking as RB Frank Gore rips up the Arizona front seven.

St. Louis at Seattle 4:15 PM FOX –Leaving USC despite NCAA sanctions might appear to have been a bad decision by this point for Seattle coach Pete Carroll. The Rams should have made mass improvements over the year with young gun Sam Bradford under center. And with a little dose of RB Stephen Jackson, should be able to end the season with a road win.

San Diego at Denver 4:15 PM CBS – The Broncos need to use this final game as a gauge to how successful they have become over the past several months and where their 2011-12 success will likely come from. A strong win at Mile High could bolster spirits and gain fan patience.

THU, DEC 23 TIME (ET)

Carolina at Pittsburgh 8:20 PM NFL – The Panthers will travel to what is likely to be the frozen tundra of Heinz Field, a place where the wind chill factor can wreak havoc on a quarterbacks stats.  Carolina’s Matt Moore or Jimmy Clausen may want to keep this one on the ground. If the Steelers bottle up DeAngelo Williams they can walk away with a win.

SAT, DEC 25 TIME (ET)

Dallas at Arizona 7:30 PM NFL – Well if the Cards are hoping for a little Christmas cheer, I don’t think their going to get. They may have WR Larry Fitzgerald, but the Cowboy’s have a multitude of weapons, especially on defense.

SUN, DEC 26 TIME (ET)

New England at Buffalo 1:00 PM CBS – New England gets a gift here. The Pat’s should have a big day with Brady and Moss hooking up for major yardage in this blowout. The Bills only hope will be to hand the ball to RB Fred Jackson and run straight at the Pats.

NY Jets at Chicago 1:00 PM CBS – Considering Cutlers’ capacity for tossing INT’s, he could set a new NFL record for tossing the most interceptions in a single game as the Jets bring their No. 1 pass defense to this party.

Baltimore at Cleveland 1:00 PM CBS – No matter how bad the Brown’s are, they seem to always get up for playing at the Pound. If they can put pressure on Flacco and shut down his passing lanes, then all they have to contend with is RB Ray Rice. Easy right? Regardless, the Ravens’ defense should keep Cleveland’s offense out of the red zone for much of the game.

Tennessee at Kansas City 1:00 PM CBS – It will be a Kansas City yard sale as Titan’s RB Chris Johnson illustrates why he was the NFL’s leading rusher in 2009. But Tennessee won’t want to get to lax, as the Chiefs’ Jamaal Charles could be a handful all on his own. Mix in a little Matt Cassell on a good day with WR Dwayne Bowe, and the always-hostile Arrowhead minions, and the Titans could have a fight.

San Francisco at St. Louis 1:00 PM FOX – Another game the Rams can win. It will be a Boxing Day bout of Gore vs. Jackson, two of the leagues most consistent running backs. A great chance for the young Bradford to bring back the “greatest show on turf.’

Detroit at Miami 1:00 PM FOX – It will be interesting to see if the Lions dynamic young talent have come into their own by this point in the season. The Miami Wildcat will surely be a measure of Suh and Vanden Bosch’s potential. Equally for the Dolphins, CB Vontae Davis will get an opportunity to prove himself as he shadows speedy WR Calvin Johnson. The Lions could grab a late season win if their prospects pan out.

Minnesota at Philadelphia 1:00 PM FOX – Philly will have their work cut out for them in this late season tilt. If Minnesota has already secured a postseason spot, the Eagles may not have to face Favre. No matter, they will still have to contain RB Adrian Peterson while trying to stretch a very good Vikings defense with their passing game. Sorry Philly.

Seattle at Tampa Bay 1:00 PM FOX – Another good opportunity for Seahawks’ running back Julius Jones to turn around two awful seasons in Seattle by picking up some Florida real estate while he’s in Tampa. If the Bucs are getting good production at quarterback at his point in the season, they could cash in on a weak Seattle D.

Washington at Jacksonville 1:00 PM FOX – The Jags will hand the ‘Skins a good dose of Jones-Drew who should have no problem scratching off some good yardage in this one, as long as he runs away from Washington linebacker Brian Orakpo.

Indianapolis at Oakland 4:05 PM CBS – I wouldn’t be surprised to see Manning and friends attending this one from the field even though they should have their postseason bid all wrapped up. As long as the Colts’ passes evade the quick hands of Raiders CB Nnamdi Asomugha, I just don’t see Oakland roping the Colts.

Houston at Denver 4:05 PM CBS – Andre Johnson and TE Owen Daniels might be the best receiver/tight end combo in the AFC South. No disrespect to Reggie Wayne and Dallas Clark. Has Denver finally sorted out their quarterback impasse? Doesn’t matter.

NY Giants at Green Bay 4:15 PM FOX – Despite the fact that the Giants are not heavy favorites in the NFC East, the Packers will not want to get caught napping. New York still has Eli Manning and the deep threat of WR Steve Smith could test Green Bay’s Al Harris and Charles Woodson.

San Diego at Cincinnati 8:20 PM NBC – Providing that TO and Ocho Cinco are still playing together harmoniously at this point in the season, the Bengals’ ability to move the ball shouldn’t be a problem. What could be a problem — containing Chargers’ RB Ryan Matthews.

MON, DEC 27 TIME (ET)

New Orleans at Atlanta 8:30 PM – The reigning Super Bowl champs will play their penultimate game in front of a national audience on Monday Night Football. The Saints secondary, if not careful, could get caught if they gamble too much with Atlanta’s Matt Ryan and his duo of Tony Gonzales and Roddy White. The Falcons can show that they are serious contenders by grabbing this one at the G-Dome.

THU, DEC 16 TIME (ET)

San Francisco at San Diego 8:20 PM NFL – The Q is a tough place to play, but the Niner’s will bring their rushing game as Frank Gore does battle with Chargers’ rookie running back Ryan Matthews. With San Francisco’s run stoppers being that much better than the Bolts’, the 49ers could win this one on the road.

SUN, DEC 19 TIME (ET)

Cleveland at Cincinnati 1:00 PM CBS – This is the final meeting of the season between these to rivals. It’s hard to believe the Brown’s can throw anything at the Bengals to match them offensively. Could this be one of the last games for Cleveland QB Jake Delhomme? The outcome of this late season match up could decide his fate in 2011.

Washington at Dallas 1:00 PM FOX – Classic late season NFC East game. The Redskins will need to bring their A game to this one if they want to beat the Cowboys in their house. The Dallas defense shouldn’t have any problems containing the Washington rush. Rather it’s the passing game that could cause them the most grief.

Houston at Tennessee 1:00 PM CBS – Yet, another late season divisional match that could carry a host of potential ramifications. The Texans should expect a healthy injection of RB Chris Johnson. If Houston can counter with a solid passing game, they could expose a much frailer Titan’s secondary.

Jacksonville at Indianapolis 1:00 PM CBS – The biggest question here is, can the Colt’s base 4-3 that ranked 26th in 2009, contain the likes of Jags’ RB Maurice Jones-Drew. Probably not, but Indy’s passing game will prevail.

Kansas City at St. Louis 1:00 PM CBS – Probably one of St. Louis’ better opportunities for a win this season at the “ED.” If the Rams’ defense can put pressure on Cassel and keep RB Jamaal Charles from ripping off huge chunks of yardage, they can win this game.

Buffalo at Miami 1:00 PM CBS –The Dolphins must win these types of games if they want to be in the running to capture the AFC East. The only thing that makes the Bills dangerous is the fact that they will be desperate, so Miami will need to stay alert.

Detroit at Tampa Bay 1:00 PM FOX – This is one more game the Lions could snatch on the road. Josh Freeman meet Ndamukong Suh.

Arizona at Carolina 1:00 PM FOX – DeAngelo Williams should wreak havoc on the Cardinals front seven while the Panthers Matt Moore will want to steer his receivers away from hard hitting Arizona safety Adrian Wilson.

New Orleans at Baltimore 1:00 PM FOX – This could be a preview of Super Bowl XLV. A trial run for Ray Lewis and Co. against the reigning champs. The Raven’s will use their suffocating defense along with the powerful running abilities of RB Ray Rice to drive a stake through the heart of an unpredictable New Orleans defense.

Philadelphia at NY Giants 1:00 PM FOX – The Eagles will make their first trip to the new Meadowlands with their second stop on a tough divisional road trip. The Giants’ secondary will have their hands full with WR DeSean Jackson while Philly contends with Steve Smith. The teams are pretty evenly matched, so expect a good one.

Atlanta at Seattle 4:05 PM FOX – After playing a tough divisional game against Carolina, the Falcons will head west to finish off a two game road stint. Is the Curse of 370 for real? Well see. It will be one of the best opportunities Atlanta’s Michael Turner has against a remodeled Seattle defense.

NY Jets at Pittsburgh 4:15 PM CBS – If the Steelers survived the six games without Ben Roethlisberger, this game may mean something this late in the season. Assuming they did, New York’s No.1 pass defense will get a real test covering a talented Pittsburgh receiving corps.

Denver at Oakland 4:15 PM CBS –It’s simple for Denver. Contain WR Louis Murphy, and don’t throw anywhere in the vicinity of CB Nnamdi Asomugha. This should be one that the Raiders win at home against a Broncos team that will spend most of their season just trying to figure out their offense.

Green Bay at New England 8:20 PM NBC –Both teams are accustomed to the cold so neither team will have the advantage in what could be a frosty affair. If the Packers want to win this one, they will need to sever the connection between the Pats’ Tom Brady, Randy Moss and Wes Welker forcing New England to go to the ground game – a place where Green Bay is better on both sides of the football.

MON, DEC 20 TIME (ET)

Chicago at Minnesota 8:30 PM – I’m not sure if this will be worth a Monday-nighter. The only thing the Bears’ will possibly be happy about at this point in the season will be playing indoors in late December. The Vikings will have to have a total meltdown to screw this up.

THU, DEC 9 TIME (ET)

Indianapolis at Tennessee 8:20 PM NFL – The Titans will surely get their money’s worth out of RB Chris Johnson in this AFC South match up. Can Indy’s undersized defense contain him? The Colts beat their divisional rival both times last season once before and once after Tennessee righted their sinking ship.

SUN, DEC 12 TIME (ET)

Cleveland at Buffalo 1:00 PM CBS – Eww, this one’s going to be uglieee. Mix in a little cold wet weather in the frigid north and you got a turnover fest.

New England at Chicago 1:00 PM CBS – By this point in the season the Pats should be rolling. The biggest question here is whether the Bear’s Jay Cutler can record more passing yards than interceptions with S Brandon Meriweather floating around in the New England secondary.

Tampa Bay at Washington 1:00 PM FOX – The Redskins catch a break here, facing one of the lesser formidable teams from the NFC South. If QB Donovan McNabb can hook up with WR Santana Moss it could be a long outing for the ageing Ronde Barber.

Atlanta at Carolina 1:00 PM FOX – The Panthers will host AFC South foes Atlanta in the first of two meetings in 2010. Both teams will likely be dueling for second place behind the Saints, so a late season win will be crucial. The Falcons will get a dose of DeAngelo Williams for sure, and depending on how they contain him, they could pull off a road victory here.

Oakland at Jacksonville 1:00 PM CBS – The Raiders secondary will have their hands full with emerging WR Mike Sims-Walker, especially when they have to guard against the Jags potent rushing attack of Maurice Jones-Drew. This is a must win for Jacksonville if they want any chance at a postseason appearance.

Green Bay at Detroit 1:00 PM FOX – A relatively boring NFC North contest that the Pack should be able to win on the road. However, they better not get caught napping, as the Lions will want to start off their first of a three game home stand against divisional opponents with a win.

NY Giants at Minnesota 1:00 PM FOX – With or without Brett Favre this will be a tough contest for the G-Men. The Vikes run stoppers should pretty much force Eli Manning to the air where he’s likely to pluck some luck with a weaker Minny secondary.

Cincinnati at Pittsburgh 1:00 PM CBS – This AFC North match up will be the second of the season and should prove to be a thriller. Both teams rely more heavily on the pass so it will come down to who can control the ground game better. The Bengals have the edge with RB Cedric Benson in the backfield, so I am giving this one to Cincinnati on the road.

St. Louis at New Orleans 4:05 PM FOX – Don’t count the Rams out in this one even though it looks like a blowout from all angles. The Saints defense has been known to give up a lot of points and rookie QB Sam Bradford should be coming around by this time. Mix in a dance or two into the end zone from RB Stephen Jackson and New Orleans might find themselves in a dogfight.

Seattle at San Francisco 4:05 PM FOX – An NFC West battle in the bay. With Arizona most likely leading the division, this late season contest could carry serious postseason implications. It would be a good time for Seattle RB Julius Jones to have a breakout game, but the Niner’s Frank Gore will probably out shine him here.

Miami at NY Jets 4:15 PM CBS – A good test for the Jets defense as they face Miami’s dreaded Wildcat offense. The race for the AFC East will be tight and so will this result. This will come down to a field goal much like last year’s 31-27 outcome. Except this one goes to NY at home.

Denver at Arizona 4:15 PM CBS – Will the ageing Brian Dawkins and Champ Bailey have the wheels to hang with the Cardinals Larry Fitzgerald and Steve Breaston? We’ll see. If that game plan doesn’t work, Arizona can mix in a little Tim Hightower against a deficient Broncos run defense.

Kansas City at San Diego 4:15 PM CBS – San Diego RB Ryan Matthews should have a field day against a defense that ranked 31st against the run in 2009. Not much has changed in Kansas City so this one goes to the Bolts.

Philadelphia at Dallas 8:20 PM NBC – This is the first of two meetings for these two divisional rivals. With no one real team being so dominant in the NFC West, this one game could easily carry with it the fate of all the teams in the division as they head towards the postseason. If the Cowboys’ Terence Newman can shut down the Kolb – DeSean Jackson connection, Romo and Co. should be able to seal the deal.

MON, DEC 13 TIME (ET)

Baltimore at Houston 8:30 PM –The Ravens will need a big day from their defense especially from S Ed Reed and the rest of the secondary, as their day will be consumed with protecting against the deep threat of WR Andre Johnson and the short pass assault of TE Owen Daniels. Meanwhile, the Texans will need to round up their front four in an effort to stop Baltimore’s Ray Rice.

THU, DEC 2 TIME (ET)

Houston at Philadelphia 8:20 PM NFL – December will begin with a match up of two teams that like to air the ball out. Houston’s Bernard Pollard will have a busy day as well as the Eagles’ Asante Samuel. But with winter weather conditions likely this time of year; if the game moves to the run, the Eagles may have the advantage.

SUN, DEC 5 TIME (ET)

New Orleans at Cincinnati 1:00 PM FOX – The Bengals have the talent to match up with the reigning champs if they can avoid individual personnel meltdowns. While Cincy QB Carson Palmer does not attract the attention of the Saints’ Drew Brees, he is still potent under center. Cincinnati has the pieces in the secondary to grab this one at home.

Chicago at Detroit 1:00 PM FOX – This will be the second meeting of these two NFC North teams. At this point in the season both teams will most likely be fighting for third place in the division. Look for QB Matt Stafford to terrorize the Bear’s secondary all day long hooking up with WR Calvin Johnson for multiple TDs. This could be a big day in the Motor City.

San Francisco at Green Bay 1:00 PM FOX – After playing five tough games in a row, including Minny and Atlanta on the road, the Pack return to Lambeau to take on the Niner’s –a team that can surprise you if your not careful. However, Green Bay should win this one handily.

Jacksonville at Tennessee 1:00 PM CBS – The Jags will be playing back-to-back divisional games, and will have their hands fill with Titan’s RB Chris Johnson. Tennessee will equally have the task of containing the always-dangerous Maurice Jones-Drew. This one will be one in the trenches by the home team.

Denver at Kansas City 1:00 PM CBS – Classic AFC West battle as the Broncos visit the unfriendly confines of Arrowhead Stadium. Denver’s defense must contend with not only RB Jammal Charles, but also the speed and acrobatics of WR Dwayne Bowe and Kansas City’s 12th Man

Cleveland at Miami 1:00 PM CBS – Well Brown’s fans, at least the weather will be good. Miami’s wildcat will be too much for the Cleveland defense to handle. The Brown’s will need to run Jerome Harrison straight at the Fins if they want to make this one remotely interesting.

Buffalo at Minnesota 1:00 PM CBS – Both of these teams have some big guns in the backfield, but the Bills’ Fred Jackson won’t find any holes in the No 2 ranked Vikings run stoppers. Minnesota will offer up a whooping to their northerly neighbors at the Homerdome.

Washington at NY Giants 1:00 PM FOX – The first of two AFC East rivalry match ups as the grizzled veteran, Donovan McNabb, leads his new team against an old foe, Eli Manning at the new Meadowlands. The Giants had the Redskins’ number last season, winning both contests and I don’t see it being any different in 2010.

Atlanta at Tampa Bay 1:00 PM FOX – Atlanta will get an early Christmas gift, playing one of the AFC South’s weaker teams on the road and in what should perfect conditions in December. The game plan for the Falcons is simple–shut down RB Cadillac Williams. For the Bucs it won’t be that easy trying to contain both RB Michael Turner while protecting against the deep threat of WR Roddy White.

Oakland at San Diego 4:05 PM CBS – San Diego residents lock their doors and hide their daughters when the Raiders invade the Q in this yearly AFC West match up. The Bolt’s had Oakland’s number last season beating them twice. This will be a good opportunity for rookie RB Ryan Matthews to bolster his stats against one of the leagues worst rushing defenses.

Carolina at Seattle 4:15 PM FOX – The Panthers will play their second road game in as many weeks as they head out west. Carolina’s mix of pass and run should keep the Seattle defense on their heels as they try and contain WR Steve Smith and RB DeAngelo Williams.

St. Louis at Arizona 4:15 PM FOX – On paper this one should belong to the Cards. However, this will be the second meeting between the two division foes as they first met way back in Week 1. The Rams’ should be coming around by now and with a little extra punch from RB Stephen Jackson; they could make this one exciting. If safety Oshiomogho Atogwe can frustrate the Arizona passing game, it could work in their favor.

Dallas at Indianapolis 4:15 PM FOX – Tony Romo is no Peyton Manning. Does ageing Dallas CB Terence Newman have the wheels to keep up with fellow old-timer WR Reggie Wayne? It’s possible.

Pittsburgh at Baltimore 8:20 PM NBC – This will be the second division fracas between this two teams. At this spot in the season it could carry with it serious playoff implications. Even with Roethlisberger, the Ravens will prove they are the team to beat this season with a win in “Mob Town.”

MON, DEC 6 TIME (ET)

NY Jets at New England 8:30 PM – Another contest that could have playoff ramifications as the two teams meet for the final time in 2010, in one of four (one preseason) Monday Night Football games for the Jets. One of the league’s top passing teams will face off against the NFL’s No. 1 pass defense. This will be a battle, and most likely won on a turnover.

New England at Detroit 12:30 PM CBS – Can the Pats’ Brandon Meriweather and the rest of the New England secondary keep WR Calvin Johnson in check? Although this one might seem a turkey, the Lions shouldn’t be overlooked at home.

New Orleans at Dallas 4:15 PM FOX – The Cowboys will play their second home game in five days, but hosting the reigning champs won’t be as easy as Detroit. The Saints will score we know, but can the ‘Boys use their mix of passing and running to trample over a New Orleans defense that has shown its vulnerability in the past?

Cincinnati at NY Jets 8:20 PM NFL – The last entrée to the Thanksgiving festivities as the Bengals and Jets battle it out in the new Meadowlands. This will be a true test for Cincinnati’s receiving squad as they square off against the No. 1 pass defense in the NFL.

SUN, NOV 28 TIME (ET)

Green Bay at Atlanta 1:00 PM FOX – Nothing could be more conducive to the Packers than playing a late November game under the cover of a dome. It should bode well for Green Bay’s deadly passing attack. If the Falcons want to win this one, QB Matt Ryan and WR Roddy White must keep up. Fall behind early, and they’re done.

Pittsburgh at Buffalo 1:00 PM CBS – The Bills only hope is to keep what’s likely to be a soggy football on the ground, and use C.J. Spiller to run right at the Steel Curtain. With Roethlisberger back in the line up, the Steelers should grab an important win on the road.

Philadelphia at Chicago 1:00 PM FOX – On Nov 28, 1930, it dipped to three degrees in Chicago, about as cold as the Bears’ offense could be at this point in the season. The Eagles Kolb should be able to exploit the Chicago pass coverage just enough to grab a win on the road.

Carolina at Cleveland 1:00 PM FOX – Cleveland QB Jake Delhomme will face his one-time former employer and hope that his defense can hold their side of the line of scrimmage. If the Panther’s o-line has a good outing, it could be a big day for WR Steve Williams and RB DeAngelo Williams against a poor Brown’s defense.

Jacksonville at NY Giants 1:00 PM CBS – How many Giants will it take to stop Jags RB Jones-Drew? That’s the question that could decide the outcome of this game. In any case, New York will be primed to counter any attack with one of their own against a defense that ranked near dead last in 2009.

Minnesota at Washington 1:00 PM FOX – Last week it was Tennessee’s Chris Johnson and now the Vikings’ Adrian Peterson. The ‘Skins defense will be spent if newly-acquired Donovan McNabb fails to keep the Minnesota offense off the field by controlling the game with extended periods of possession.

Tampa Bay at Baltimore 1:00 PM FOX – Buc’s QB Josh Freeman will have no where to hide when the Ravens defense comes to find him. Is Freemen spelled with one or two E’s? I don’t know because his on his back.

Tennessee at Houston 1:00 PM CBS – An important divisional game here as these two teams will most likely be locked in a fierce battle for the number two spot in the division, behind Indy. Can CB Rod Hood lead the league’s worst pass defense (31st in 2009), in covering the explosive Texans receiving duo of WR Andre Johnson And TE Owen Daniels? Me thinks not.

Kansas City at Seattle 4:05 PM CBS – If the Chiefs think Arrowhead’s loud, and then they obviously don’t remember the Kingdome –enter Qwest Field. KC will try to snatch a win on the road, as they match up Cassel/Bowe against Hassleback/Houshmandzadeh. It will be a pass-happy afternoon as both defenses ranked close to the bottom in 2009.

Miami at Oakland 4:05 PM CBS – The Phins will be coming off an extended 10-day rest when they visit the black hole. Oakland will struggle containing the daring wildcat offense that will require more than CB Nnamdi Asomugha’s efforts alone.

St. Louis at Denver 4:15 PM FOX –At this point in the season the Donkey’s should be sitting comfortably in second behind he Bolts, not because they’re that good, but because the Chiefs, and Raiders suck that much. Ram’s QB Sam Bradford will have 10 games under his belt, and along with RB Stephen Jackson could take advantage of a Denver rushing defense that ranked 26th last season.

San Diego at Indianapolis 8:20 PM NBC – The Chargers have given Indy fits in the past, most recently in 2008 when Adam Vinatieri had to salvage a win by nailing a 51-yard field goal as time expired to push Indianapolis past the Chargers. It’s not gong to be that close this time, Colts over Bolts.

MON, NOV 29 TIME (ET)

San Francisco at Arizona 8:30 PM – Air versus Ground in this NFC West rivalry. San Francisco will bring their running game making use of RB Frank Gore to rip off huge yardage against the Arizona front seven. Meanwhile, the 49ers will have to find the wheels to keep pace, as the Redbirds’ Matt Leinart takes to the air dropping bombs to Fitzgerald and Breaston against a vulnerable San Francisco secondary.

THU, NOV 18 TIME (ET)

Chicago at Miami 8:20 PM NFLN – The Bears will be out of gas after tangling with Minnesota in the previous week, and will have to face the Miami’s wildcat on the road. There are likely to be a lot of turnovers in this one, with Miami coming out on top.

SUN, NOV 21 TIME (ET)

Buffalo at Cincinnati 1:00 PM CBS – The Bengals already had their hands full with OchoCinco, and with the addition of WR Terrell Owens one has to wonder if the off field carnival will detract from the teams ability to play good football. TO is sure to be greeted with plenty of boos as he returns to take on his former team.

Detroit at Dallas 1:00 PM FOX – It’s hard to see the Lions beating the Cowboys in the Big D, but with so many vibrant young athletes and Tony Romo’s tendency for late-season meltdowns, you can’t count Detroit totally out of this one.

Oakland at Pittsburgh 1:00 PM CBS – Head coach Tom Cable is optimistic about the Raiders challenging in the AFC West, but I’m not convinced. Depending on who’s under center at this point in the season, Oakland could be a bust. The Steelers won’t have much trouble, but shouldn’t underestimate a very good young Raiders defense, remembering their loss to Oakland last season.

Houston at NY Jets 1:00 PM CBS – Houston will make their first trip to the new Meadowlands were they will look to upend the Jets defense. It will be a long day for New York’s Darrelle Revis and Antonio Cromartie keeping tabs on WR Andre Johnson and TE Owen Daniels when they come to the Big Apple.

Baltimore at Carolina 1:00 PM CBS – Both teams possess good defense and solid power running. The winner here will be the team that can best control the clock. However, the Ravens have the advantage at the pivot spot, as Flacco has the goods to out wit Matt Moore. Look for big yardage from DeAngelo Williams and Ray Rice.

Cleveland at Jacksonville 1:00 PM CBS – It’s quite possible that the Browns could walk a way with a rare road victory against on of the AFC South’s weaker contenders. Games like these could give Cleveland a little dignity in what will surely be a brutal season. The Jags will ride running back Maurice Jones-Drew to a small unimpressive victory here.

Washington at Tennessee 1:00 PM FOX – Even with Donovan McNabb, and a strapping defense, the Skin’s may not be able to contain powerhouse running back Chris Johnson, and the gutsy heroics of Vince Young.

Arizona at Kansas City 1:00 PM FOX – Arrowhead is by far one of the toughest places to play on the road. Combine that with a huge day from WR Dwayne Bowe, mixed in with a some run support from RB Jamaal Charles, and the Chiefs could very well take this one at home.

Green Bay at Minnesota 1:00 PM FOX – Favre will get his former longtime employer at the home e in the second meeting between these two in 2010. While Rodgers and Co. have the goods, the Vikes are just that much better. And combined with a noisy crowd under the cover of the Homerdome, will be too much for the Packers in this NFC North confrontation.

Atlanta at St. Louis 4:05 PM FOX – The Falcons will move from the comforts of one dome to another as they end a three game home stand beginning with the Rams. Two young QBs will faceoff, as the Rams’ Bradford will try to match wits with a crafty Matt Ryan. If Falcons’ LB Mike Peterson can lead the Atlanta D in stuffing Stephen Jackson, they shouldn’t have a problem coming away with the win.

Seattle at New Orleans 4:05 PM FOX – Coming off a bye–at the Superdome? Need I say more?

Tampa Bay at San Francisco 4:05 PM FOX – The Bucs are a young team in development, but the 49ers should be wary if RB Cadillac Williams if he were to have a breakout day. If Niner’s QB Alex Smith can garner some success culminating in an early lead, San Francisco could control the clock with a mixture of RB Frank Gore and third and short passes to TE Vernon Davis to hang on for the win.

Indianapolis at New England 4:15 PM CBS – There won’t be any love from Bostonians in this one, as two of the best QBs in the league do battle in Foxboro –an atmosphere where hearing audibles is…well nonexistent. But with the Colts no huddle offense and Manning’s mysterious ability to orchestrate plays from the line of scrimmage, even the most deafening crowd won’t keep Indy from edging out a win in this one.

NY Giants at Philadelphia 8:20 PM NBC – The G-Men will need to bring their pass rush to this second leg matchup, in an effort to force newly-groomed QB Kevin Kolb into some costly rookie mistakes, turning over the ball to the junior Manning to work his magic.

MON, NOV 22 TIME (ET)

Denver at San Diego 8:30 PM – Rivers and his giant receivers should have no problem out pacing the Denver secondary, and if that doesn’t work, RBs Darren Sproles and Fresno standout and projected heir to the LT throne Ryan Matthews, should be able to get the job done at the Q.

Baltimore at Atlanta 8:20 PM NFL – The only break Atlanta will get in this one, is that it will be their third consecutive home game. The Ravens will be at full tilt at this point in the season and the defense will create havoc for Falcons QB Matt Ryan as Atlanta searches for a way to contain Ray Rice.

Here I take a look at the rest of the week’s matchups, giving you some early insight that will help make your 2010 NFL wagers winners. Teams with byes this week are Green Bay, Oakland, New Orleans, and San Diego.

SUN, NOV 14 TIME (ET)

Detroit at Buffalo 1:00 PM FOX – Well, if there is any game the Bills can walk away with win in, this could be one of them; but probably not. At least Detroit has WR Calvin Johnson.

Minnesota at Chicago 1:00 PM FOX – This NFC North battle will be fought and won on the ground as the Bears’ Matt Forte tries to out muscle the Vikes’ Adrian Peterson. Maybe CB Cedric Griffin can get his hands on one or two of QB Jay Cutler’s giveaways in this one.

NY Jets at Cleveland 1:00 PM CBS – Heck, maybe the Jets will be give Clemons a whirl in this matchup. Jake Delhomme will need to throw in the opposite direction of New York’s Darrelle Revis if they want to get out of this one with some dignity.

Cincinnati at Indianapolis 1:00 PM CBS – Don’t be quick to jump on the Indy bandwagon. With the Bengals recent signing of TO and the antics of OchoCinco, Cincinnati’s Carson Palmer could find a seam in the Colts inexperienced secondary, giving Manning and Co. a run for their money at home.

Tennessee at Miami 1:00 PM CBS – The Titans will need to be prepared for Ronnie Brown and the wildcat. If Miami can shut down one of the best tailbacks in the game in Tennessee’s Chris Johnson, they should be able to pick a win at home.

Carolina at Tampa Bay 1:00 PM FOX – Besides the added benefit of playing this AFC South clash at Raymond James Stadium, for Tampa Bay it’s simple Or is it? Just cover Steve Smith, and contain DeAngelo Williams. Or maybe it would be easier to chew up yards and control the clock with RB Cadillac Williams. Either way the Bucs will have their hands full in this one.

Houston at Jacksonville 1:00 PM CBS – If the Jags want to factor in any postseason action, they must win these types of games, delivering a strong rushing attack behind RB Maurice Jones-Drew. If they don’t, the Texans could pick up a divisional win on the road.

Kansas City at Denver 4:05 PM CBS – The Broncos secondary will need to be at their best in covering the Chiefs receiving duo of WRs Dwayne Bowe and Chris Chambers. If Denver can keep them running, Kansas City should be sucking wind at Mile High by the end of the third quarter.

Dallas at NY Giants 4:15 PM FOX – A reversal of Week 7, this NFC East division rivalry will now make its way to the tri-state area. The Giants should expect a serious dosage of the run from the Cowboys, while Eli Manning and WR Steve Smith have a big day at the new Meadowlands against a banged up Dallas secondary.

Seattle at Arizona 4:15 PM FOX – Matt Leinart gets his chance to wing it like Warner in this NFC West showdown. The Cards Larry Fitzgerald and Steve Breaston should make this one look easy against an inexperienced Seahawks secondary.

St. Louis at San Francisco 4:15 PM FOX – If the Rams’ want any chance of winning at least one game this year on the road, they will need to run Steven Jackson right at the Niner’s defense. San Francisco will counter with Frank Gore, and in the end it could be Alex Smith hooking up with TE Vernon Smith for the winning TD.

New England at Pittsburgh 8:20 PM NBC – The Steelers lead the all-time series, 14–10, but the Patriots have owned Pittsburgh winning six of seven meetings over a ten year period before the Steelers broke through in 2008. This contest has all the makings of a thriller right to the end.

MON, NOV 15 TIME (ET)

Philadelphia at Washington 8:30 PM – McNabb will welcome his former team and division rivals to RFK for the second of two meetings in 2010. Washington will bring the heat fueled by the frenzy of the hometown fans, as Kevin Kolb tries to avoid a beating by Skins’ LB Brian Orakpo in front of a national audience.
